SENIOR DENTAL INSURANCE, VISION & HEARING
What are dental, vision, and hearing plans?
Medicare doesn't cover all expenses, which means you will have to pay out of pocket for medical supplies such as dentures, prescription glasses or hearing aids, as well as visits to the specialist. Original Medicare does not include benefits for dental, vision, or hearing. Dental, vision, hearing (DVH) plans are intended to provide you with the extra security and are meant as a supplement to Medicare, or another type of basic insurance plan.
How dental, vision, and hearing plans work
DVH plans combine all three benefits - dental, vision, hearing - into a single plan. You typically choose a maximum benefit and can visit any provider, without having to worry about the network. There is also the option to have stand alone plans for a single, such as senior dental insurance, or two of the three benefits.
